The technician guide

Good photos.
Careful review.
Useful records.

Photograph and label components

  1. Take an overall photo and a clear close-up of small components. Avoid glare, darkness and obstructions.
  2. Review every AI suggestion against what is actually visible. Correct wrong labels, remove false findings and add missed components.
  3. Draw one tight box per component. Four visible park sensors need four separate Ultrasonic/Park Sensor boxes.
  4. Choose the specific component label and confirm location and camera details. A mirror warning indicator is not a blind spot radar.
  5. Do not guess the position of a hidden component. No visible ADAS component does not mean the vehicle has no ADAS equipment.

Record “Calibration required” on a report

  1. Confirm the vehicle identity with year, make and model, or a confirmed VIN.
  2. Tap Confirm Repair Operations. Enter the component, location and actual repair operation, then tap Done.
  3. Open Technician Procedure Review and select the Repair operation.
  4. After reviewing the applicable current OEM procedure, select Calibration required in the Requirement picker.
  5. Enter your technician name, procedure title or ID and revision, and rationale. Add a valid HTTPS source link if desired and turn on the acknowledgement.
  6. Tap Record Technician Decision, then Done. Finally, tap Save Inspection Report.

The report identifies the decision as “Technician-confirmed for the recorded operation only.” This records the technician’s requirement decision; it is not proof that calibration was performed. Changes to inspection evidence or reopening an inspection require fresh confirmation.

Help improve future models

Use varied vehicles and clear, carefully labeled photos that you are authorized to contribute. Corrections can create pending examples. Review and approval prepare examples for future training; they do not immediately update the installed model.

Central submissions currently require a connected shop organization. Registration alone does not establish that connection, and saving a correction does not guarantee its photo was received. Contact us about contributing.

Introduce ADAS View to technicians and shops who want to provide feedback. Growing participation may support discussions with OEM information providers, but licensed access depends on provider approval and agreements.
